Graduates of the Sairme Academy of Tourism and Gastronomy were awarded with certificates recognized by local and international partners for the successful completion of their vocational program, Hotel Room Management.
It is noteworthy that during the coronavirus pandemic, the Sairme Academy of Tourism and Gastronomy was able to successfully implement and complete a vocational training program in Hotel Room Management.
The program is based on the experience of the Swiss School of Hospitality (SHL) and was implemented with the support of local and foreign consultants, leading companies in the field, the UN World Tourism Organization, international partners and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Valerian Gobronidze addressed the participants of the graduation ceremony. The Deputy Minister congratulated the young people on the successful completion of the program and thanked the representatives of the Swiss Embassy and the private sector for their support of vocational education.
Tamar Kitiashvili, General Director of the Professional Skills Agency also addressed the participants of the event. She stressed the importance of internationalization of vocational education and noted that in 2022, in coordination with the Vocational Skills Agency, the process of developing the adult education system will continue, which includes the introduction of diverse programs, funding, promotion of services and the creation of new flexible procedures.
The event was attended by representatives of the Professional Skills Agency and the private sector, local and international experts, representatives of the Swiss Embassy and the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
