The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, held a meeting with the Acting Permanent Representative of the Asian Development Bank in Georgia - Kamel Bouhmad, and discussed the current and future projects in the field of education.
Giorgi Amilakhvari thanked Kamel Bouhmad for his continuous support for the development of the education system and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Ministry and the Asian Development Bank.
The minister singled out the ongoing $70 million project with the financial support of the Asian Development Bank, which aims to promote the development of vocational education in the regions of Georgia.
Moreover, the parties also discussed future plans in the terms of human capital development and the improvement of labour skills among young people in Georgia. The parties also discussed the prospect creating joint projects for the promotion of general education reform.
At the end of the meeting, the minister expressed his willingness to further enhance the cooperation with the Asian Development Bank.
