The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari hosted the Head of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Kemlin Furley and discussed the current and future cooperation prospects.
Giorgi Amilakhvari thanked the High commissioner for many years of fruitful cooperation.
On their part, the head of the UNHCR representation expressed their satisfaction with the existing partnership with the Ministry and positively evaluated the measures taken by the Government of Georgia to support the Ukrainian children.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects and plans for enhancing future cooperation in terms of providing access to education for children with refugee and asylum seeker status.
Kemlin Furley expressed their willingness to support the education system of Georgia and strengthen cooperation with the Ministry.
