With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Communications Commission and the Media Academy announced a contest for students of IX, X and XI grades - "Real or fictional?!" The purpose of the competition is to develop the skills necessary for logical and critical thinking, analysis and verification of facts, media literacy among teenagers.
Students have the opportunity to participate in the competition from April 10 to May 31.
According to the rules of the competition, the participants must find the fake information (Fake News) spread in the media space, including the Internet, television and print media, which has not yet been confirmed. At the same time, contestants must present the way to find the story, verify the source and at the same time establish its real facts.
Students will have the opportunity to choose the format of presentation of the assignment - video, multimedia work, presentation or any other alternative form.
The winners, who will be selected by a competent jury, will receive ultra-modern prizes - the first place winner will receive an iPhone 14 Pro, the second place winner will receive an HP laptop, and the third place winner will receive an iPad 10.2.
