In accordance with amendments to the Law of Georgia on Vocational Education, the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs has approved the procedures and conditions for implementing distance learning in vocational education.
The new regulations define both synchronous and asynchronous forms of remote teaching. They also outline how program components can be determined according to vocational education standards for remote training and evaluation.
Additionally, a list of vocational training and retraining programs that are not based on vocational education standards and can be delivered entirely online has been established.
With this new framework, colleges and vocational training providers now have the opportunity to offer vocational program components remotely for the first time, and in some cases, to conduct entire vocational training programs online.
