Unique center was established in Georgian Technical University for the bachelor and MA students of electro energy field. The center is in compliance with modern standards. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, Minister of Energy of Georgia, Aleksandre Khetaguri, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Rusudan Kervalishvili, as well as an Ambassador of France to Georgia, Eric Fournier, and President of Energy Academy of Georgia, Revaz Arveladze opened the center and awarded with certificates 9 students, who passed the training in this center.
Education center was equipped by the French firm Schneider Electric with the financial support of joint stock company “Telasi”. Similar equipment with its meaning and complexity does not exist in European education system.
The center is designed to prepare specialists in energy field, train and advance their qualification. Holding more than 150 lab works is available in the base of the center.
The graduates will master the management and exploitation of devises, made with the leading technologies in the world. The level of education, received on the basis of the education center will be equal with the engineering-professional education of the Western higher educational institutions.
Establishment of the center is very important for creating high-quality engineering-educational space in Georgia as it will support to strengthen the role of Georgia throughout the region in the fields of energy, training and qualification advancement directions.
The center has a great potential of becoming the leading institution in Transcaucasia as creating the similar center is not planned in the region in the nearest future.
Many specialists of the energy field from Georgia as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan are willing to pass the training in the center.
