Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini and President of Education Professional Syndicate, Tato Shavshishvili visited Tbilisi Public School №21 in the scope of the Teacher’s Day and awarded the teacher of this school who took the highest score in the teacher’s certification exams.
German language teacher of Tbilisi Public School №21 Nino Kevkhishvili is one the certified teachers who received highest scores in teachers’ certification exams. She took 56 in professional abilities and 116 – in the subject exam. Totally, she took 172.
Dimitri Shashkini congratulated all teachers on Teachers’ International Day. According to the Minister, teachers’ certification is designed to improve teachers’ qualification. It is important that almost all teachers responded to this initiative.
Teachers, who successfully passed teachers’ certification exams and showed high level of knowledge, will receive increased salary from the new academic year. They will be able to work as mentor-teachers as well. Certified teachers will have opportunity to participate in different programs initiated by MES.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini have already awarded the teachers of regional and Tbilisi schools who successfully passed the certification exams.
