Trainings in IT for the teachers of the first graders are still held. Trainings are given throughout the whole Georgia. Totally, trainings will be held for the teachers of 110 schools who were provided with the netbooks.
Today, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini attended the teachers’ training. According to the Minister, “teachers should satisfy the modern pedagogic requirements, skills and knowledge. Teachers’ training in IT and other disciplines is being actively held”.
Teachers will be given the model lesson using the netbook, additional material and test prepare methods during the training.
The training will last for two days. Role games will be held on the second day in order to represent own model lessons to the members of the group.
Author of the best model lesson will be identified at the end of the training. The best lessons of the teachers will be posted on the web-site of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development (www.tpdc.ge).
Above mentioned training is the third level of teachers’ training.
Teachers mastered computer skills at the first level. Technical parameters and administrative procedures of the netbooks were introduced to them at the second level.
