Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Tbilisi City Court.
According to the Memorandum, 11th graders are able to attend the seminars organized by Tbilisi City Court twice a month. Schoolchildren will have opportunity to get familiarized with the juveniles’ rights based on an international convention, current reforms of the court, role of the judicial branch among the government branches, jury, crime prevention and etc.
The project is designed to advance civic education level among the adults. “Informing the schoolchildren about the ongoing reforms of the country and improving their citizen responsibility is very important” – announced the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze after signing the Memorandum.
40 11th graders of Tbilisi Public Schools attended Memorandum signing ceremony. The first seminar on the activities of Tbilisi City Court was held for the schoolchildren after signing the Memorandum.
