In the scope of the program “Einstein”, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze provided Tbilisi Vekua Physics-Mathematical Public School №42 with the lab for natural sciences.
Natural sciences are intensively taught in the Public School №42. Schoolchildren of this school permanently participate in the school and international Olympiads and hold the leading places.
“Providing Public School №42 with the lab for natural sciences is very important in regard with the school profile. Studying of these subjects will become more interesting for the schoolchildren” – noted Koka Sepherteladze and held experiments together with the schoolchildren.
In order to advance the teaching level of the natural sciences and attract schoolchildren’s interest, the program has been carried out in the Public Schools step by step since October 26.
In order to support development of the technical fields, all Public Schools will be equipped with the labs in physics, chemistry and biology by 2010-2011 academic years.
Labs include three complete sets. 18 subsets are unified in each set according to the teaching topics (chemistry, biology, physics).
Modern labs support the development of the research skills. Each schoolchild should be able to conduct research, register and analyze results and make relevant conclusions.
Teachers as well as the schoolchildren will have opportunity to use virtual labs during the natural science classes from 2010-2011 academic years.
