Georgian Young Medics Union implements the project Teaching Healthy Way of Life at Schools that covers five pilot schools. The First Experimental School is one of the schools where the project was successfully implemented.
The project is designed to prevent diseases through informing the adults. Deficit of information about the healthy way of life among the adults has to be noted. Aims of the campaign on the healthy way of life, held by the Georgian Young Medics Union are:
Trainings and workshops for the schoolchildren were held in the scope of the project. Education materials were distributed as well. Manager of the project, George Gorgaslidze held a presentation of the project and the summarizing results of the works at the final level of the project. Schoolchildren who took part in the training were awarded with certificates.
First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze, member of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Sergo Kitiashvili, as well as the President of the Georgian Young Medics Union, Tristan Nishnianidze and Director of Civil Institutionalism Development Fund, Lali Kipshidze attended the presentation and the award ceremony of the schoolchildren.
