Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini attended the lesson of the 12^th graders in the scope of “Abituri” Hours in the Public School №183 and presented the sample of electronic exam test together with the Director of the National Examination Center, Maia Miminoshvili.

For the first time in Georgia, 2010-2011 High School exams will be held through the CAT exam model. Schoolchildren got interested in the presentation and information concerning the High School exams. According to them, similar informational events on the High School exams are very important as these meetings help the schoolchildren to get better prepared for the exams.

Exams in each subject will be held on the same day in all general educational institutions. Exam question base will be created in each subject and these questions will be divided in several (7-10) categories according to the complicacy. Initially, applicant will be given questions of the middle difficulty. The program defines the level of knowledge according to the answers and afterwards selects the next question of the relevant category. After finishing the exam, applicant immediately receives results of the tests – whether he/she   crossed the minimal competency level or not. Minimal competency level is reflected in the concrete signs and not the scores. Evaluation of the computer program has no influence on the annual mark of the schoolchildren and it remains unchanged.

Dimitri Shashkini and Maia Miminoshvili answered the schoolchildren’s questions. Informational meetings with the 12^th graders will be still held. Presentation of the new exam model will be held at MES for the schoolchildren of Tbilisi schools.
