First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze opened the new swimming-pool at Tbilisi Public School №175. Company Royal 2009 implemented the rehabilitation works. Schoolchildren of the nearby settlement as well as the teachers of the Public School №175 will be provided with some privileges at the swimming pool. Most important is that around 300 vulnerable children of this school will be given free swimming and water-polo classes. In order to encourage excellent children of the school №175, some of them were presented with the free tickets in the scope of the event.

According to the Principal of the Public School №175, Ms. Tinatin Alavidze, great interest was expressed towards the President’s initiative of replacing physical fitness lessons with the sports classes. Students of this school are interested in football, basketball and volleyball. They will be given lessons in new types of sports along with swimming and water-polo classes from the new academic year. School tournaments are held as well.

Around 2,000 schoolchildren study and 135 teachers teach at Tbilisi Public School №175. Graduates successfully pass the Unified Entry Exams, participate in the school Olympiads and different competitions.12 candidates of the golden medal and 6 - of the silver medal study at this school in current year.
