Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini paid a visit to a new building of the Caucasus University. The reconstruction works of the building will be finished soon. The new building of the Caucasus University will start functioning from the new academic year of 2011-2012.
New building will have a modern infrastructure and technology and will be one of the largest not only in Georgia but in the South Caucasus region. This, in its turn, will support to attracting foreign students to Georgia as well as developing Georgian educational system overall.
Originally, the building was constructed in 1909 and religious seminary has been functioning there for many years.
Caucasus University was founded in 2004 on the basis of Caucasus Business School. Caucasus Business School was founded with the partnership of Georgia State University. Nowadays the Caucasus University has 7 schools: Business, Law, Media, Technology, Public Administration, Humanities and Tourism.
