“The Teacher” is the only educational journal in Georgia. The journal has the circulation under 10 000.  It is delivered free of charge to every public school of Georgia and is available for all teachers. The journal has about 7000 subscribers.

The renewed professional journal for teachers was published in February. The journal is more modern, has more rubrics. In the renewed journal the Minister of Education and Science has his rubric covering ongoing reforms in the education system.

“The Teacher” has a  very important function to provide first hand information to the teachers on such issues as  certification, professional development and modern methods of teaching.  

As researches show the journal serves as a necessary and important resource for 85% of teachers. “The Teacher” combines experts’ opinions on different problems and innovations, interviews with famous people, articles on teachers’ experiences.  The description of model lessons and practical excises are attached to the journal. The main goal of the “The Teacher” is popularization of  teachers’ profession.
