Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze and Ambassador of the United States to Georgia John Bass attended the presentation of school civil clubs at Tbilisi Public School №72. The clubs were established in the framework of “Civic Education and Teacher Training Program”.
During the presentation the schoolchildren spoke about their activities in civil club and read their assays on multinational tolerance. The guests get familiarized with the works of civil club members and held discussions with them.
The event was organized in the scope of “Civic Education and Teacher Training Program”. The program is designed to improve the quality of the school program in civic education and assist the youth to advance knowledge, change opinions and behavior; actively involve them in the development of democratic society.
The program is implemented by PH International with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. This 3 year program will be implemented in 500 schools of 9 regions of Georgia.
