Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Deputy Ministries continue to pay visits to the professional colleges throughout Georgia. This time, Deputy Minister Irine Kurdadze visited Khidistavi Professional College in Gori.

Khidistavi Professional College was founded in 2007 as a result of merging two professional institutions. The center implements the programs in construction, as well as in electrical engineering and painting.

College also offers learning programs in agricultural field. With the support of the Norwegian Refugee Council students are trained in fruit growing specialty. From a new academic year, Khidistavi Professional College will start offering learning program in sewing.

Duration of the learning programs at the college is from 3 month to 12 month. USAID regularly organizes the training of the students to support their employment.

Up to 130 students study at Khidistavi Professional College. Currently, there are 17 teachers at the college, many of them hold international certificates.

The college will receive 165 students in the next academic year.
