First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze, Pro-Rector of International Black Sea University Mrs. Giuli Alasania and other guests of the event opened a “Chaglari” international Olympiad for Young Scientists and Inventors in the Hotel “Radisson”.
154 contestants from 30 countries participate in the competition; the winners will be announced on 15 May and will be awarded by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini.
International exhibition is held annually at Chaglari educational institutions for 2150 schoolchildren and student, the aim of the exhibition is to get the young people interested in Science.
The Olympiad plays a major role in intercultural dialogue; - participants of the competition live in Georgian families and are disclosed to Georgian culture and language. The participants also share the knowledge and experience to one another.
Previously, the Olympiad has been organized 4 times. This year, more schoolchildren and students participate in it.
