Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze, the first lady of Georgia Sandra Roelofs and Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia Mr. John Rodney Bass attended a ceremony of the diploma handing over to the graduates of the Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy.

Deputy Minister congratulated the graduates on completion of the studies and wished them success in their future endeavors.

This year, American Academy has 52 graduates; many of them plan to continue their studies abroad at the higher educational institutions of the US, the UK. Nevertheless, they hope they will be able to start their careers in Georgia. 

American Academy was founded in 2001 in Tbilisi by Guivy Zaldastanishvili, Georgian businessman. It has 290 alums, attending colleges and universities throughout the US, the UK, Europe, and in Tbilisi, at institutions like Harvard, West Point, Middlebury, Williams, WPI, Bard, American University in Paris, CEU, Bocconi, and St. Andrews University in Scotland.

Last year, Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy was nominated as the best private school in Georgia by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Academy applies modern innovative pedagogical methods in the learning process, at the same time; it pays a great attention to the teaching of Georgian History and Culture.
