Successful Georgian scientists working abroad will get involved in implementing of the doctoral programs at Georgian higher educational institutions. Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation under the Ministry announces a state grant competition for Doctoral Programs Co-advisors. The contest will give the PHD students an opportunity to choose the Georgian researcher/scientist working abroad as one of the co-advisors of their dissertation.
General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation Sulkhan Sisauri informed the doctoral students on the conditions of this grant competition at the Tbilisi State University. As he stated, on the one hand, the Foundation supports Georgian doctoral students to enhance their professionalism, on the other hand, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation attracts the Georgian scientists working abroad to get involved in fostering the scientific and intellectual potential in Georgia.
A doctoral student, who is a Georgian citizen and will be studying at the accredited PHD educational programs for the coming two years, is eligible to participate in the grant competition. Hence, duration of the grant project is 2 years. Within the scope of the grant project, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will finance the visits of Georgian Co- advisor to Georgia, as well as PHD students’ visits to the scientific /research institutions abroad to consult their advisors on the dissertation. The best project authors will be financed with 15 000 GEL per year.
Conditions of the contest and other relevant materials are posted on the web site of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation ( www.rustaveli.org.ge ). The electronic registration of the projects will start on June 20 and will finish on August 25.
