Eight million Georgian Lari will be allocated from the state budget to buy 800 000 textbooks for the schoolchildren from socially vulnerable families.  Minister Dimitri Shashkini made statement on this issue during the meeting of the Government of Georgia.

All schoolchildren (I-VI grades) from socially vulnerable families with less than 70 thousand points will get the free textbooks on September 15, 2011.  Schoolchildren from 7^th to 12^th grades will be able to get free textbooks if the social points of their families are less than 57 thousand.

By the statement of the Minister it is very important assistance to the socially vulnerable families.
