Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini took part in the meeting of the National Professional Council on social partnership. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Georgian Employers' Association with support of GIZ. The meeting was attended by the representatives of other Ministries, professional colleges and unions, international and business organizations.
The members of the meetingl discussed a political document on social partnership and importance of such partnership. The document was developed by the interested parties in close cooperation with Georgian Employers’ Association.
Social partnership is one of the most important components of the professional education reform. Social partnership guarantees to create such system in which professional associations and unions, employers, private and government providers closely cooperate in order to develop the professional education that meets the requirements of the economy.
In such system each interested party will have the opportunity to take part in the process of defining learning and management policies.
