The process of introducing new school officers to the School Boards has started. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze introduced candidate for School Principal’s position Amiran Jamagidze to the School Board of Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium.
Deputy Minister Giorgi Chakhnashvili visited Tbilisi Public School № 199 and introduced candidate for the position of School Principal Ivane Kvitashvili to the School Board. Candidate Artur Muradiani has also been introduced to the School Board. All three candidates have won the contest of School Principals.
The candidates that were selected through the contest have been awarded with certificates. They have also got the right to work as a School Principal for 7 years. The process of their introducing to the School Boards is regulated by the Decree of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
Any person who had obtained a higher education degree was eligible to participate in the contest.
Even the person with no experience in school management was able take part in the contest.
The exam was held in two rounds. First, contestants passed the test with the help of the special computer program, those contestants who had passed the first round, were invited to the interview.
The contest envisaged to reveal such personnel that meet MES requirements and will be able to manage schools in compliance with modern standards.
