National Curriculum and Assessment Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has developed the standards of Italian and Turkish languages. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and Director of National Curriculum and Assessment Center Natia Jokhadze held the briefing on this issue.
Italian and Turkish languages’ standards are in compliance with Foreign Languages Standard of the National Curriculum and Assessment Centre.
Italian and Turkish languages’ standards have been developed by the experts of the Center along with Italian and Turkish languages’ specialists. The working group has created the Italian and Turkish languages’ programs for schoolchildren of primary, basic and secondary levels. Italian language program was developed by the active collaboration with Italian Embassy in Georgia.

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has already announced a competition on textbooks’ approval for 2012-2013 academic year and on Italian and Turkish Languages’ textbooks among them.
