In the frame of the eStrategy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia for the years of 2011-2015, eStudents system was launched. Deputy Minister Giorgi Chakhnashvili and Deputy Head of Agency for Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Giorgi Gulua held a presentation on this issue.
eStudents system is a new system in Georgian educational sphere, in the scope of which the Ministry elaborated a new eSchool strategy. This strategy will be presented to the public within a month period.
By creating the eStudents system, Ministry has saved 12 million GEL. This amount was spent on rehabilitating the school infrastructure.
eStudents system will also become a part of the ID card project elaborated by the Ministry of Justice.
The system will allow schools to monitor the students data base online, carry out mobility of the students, select the relevant textbooks and identify the socially vulnerable students.
eStudents system will also help the Ministry to more efficiently define the volume of school voucher.
Students’s data base will be provided to National Examinations Center under Ministry and students will not have to re- register for the national unified exams and school Olympiads.
eStudents system will also support schools in day to day management.
