The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources opened the laboratory of renewable energy at the Georgian Technical University.
This research laboratory was created in order to educate the specialists of relevant fields. The laboratory was opened with support of Austrian company HERZ Armaturen and USAID. The laboratory's equipment was installed by Ukrainian, Austrian and Georgian specialists. For the beginning of the laboratory's program, Ukrainian and Austrian specialists will train their Georgian colleagues. Later, working meetings with participation of local companies working in the related fields will be organized at the laboratory.
The research laboratory also plans to host educational-cognitive lectures. This will help to raise schoolchildren’s interest in renewable energy and other relevant fields.
