The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mr. Dimitri Shashkin, awarded the winners of the photo contest: “Beautiful Svaneti” and “I go to school”- announced for facebook users.  The third grader of the Georgian University's construction faculty's President’ scholarship receiver, Giorgi Putkardaze, and the teacher of Biology, Khatuna Gogoladze, were granted portable computers produced in Georgia. The photo contest was announced on the Ministry’s official Facebook webpage: www.facebook.com/mes.gov.ge and participation was voluntary.

Recently, reconstructed Svaneti has become a true discovery not only for foreigners, but for many Georgians as well.  This fact inspired the Minister’s decision to propose the photo contest for Facebook users on the very relevant topic, with the title: “Beautiful Svaneti”. The photo contest with the title: “I go to school” was dedicated to the start of the new academic year.

Six photo contests of various content have been already held with the initiative of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia-Mr. Dimitri Shashkin. The Ministry will announce many other interesting and challenging contests on the social network in the future as well.
