Students’ encouragement program initiated by the president is being continued. This time, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Koka Seperteladze and Kutaisi Mayor – Gia Tevdoradze awarded tenth grade students of Imereti region public schools with personal computers.
The event took place at №1 public school in Kutaisi and 250 students, who successfully graduated academic year of 2010-2011 received Computers “Lenova”.
The project has been carried out for several years already and for the first time the students were granted Georgia made portable computers.
Students’ encouragement program initiated by the president is being implemented in the framework of the national program -“My first computer”, which aims to facilitate augmentation of students’ motivation and enhancement of teaching/learning methods based on information-communication technologies.
Overall 1108 excellent students will be awarded throughout Georgia this year.
