The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Nodar Surguladze, gifted “Lenovo” personal computers on behalf of the President to 130 schoolchildren of the 10th form from the Adjara region. The Minister of Education, Culture, and Sport of Adjara, Gia Abuladze, also took part in the award ceremony.

According to Mr. Nodar Surguladze, to raise interest in studying among schoolchildren, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia implements different kind of projects. Among these projects is the President’s program: “My First Computer” which aims to encourage schoolchildren with gifts of technology.

This encouragement project has been implemented for the next several years. The schoolchildren were awarded for their successful performance at the basic level of education. The Ministry is planning to continue this program in the future as well.
