Deputy Minister, Mr. Nodar Surguladze, gifted the personal computers to the winners of the “Georgian Economic Olympiad 2011”. These students have won the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places in the Olympiad. Other participants were awarded the cash prizes. The most succesfull contestants will be employed by the state and private agencies.

The Olympiad was organized by the organization” Georgian Economic Forum” with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. BA and MA students of the accredited higher educational institutions from Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Gori, Zugdidi, Akhaltsikhe,Telavi, were involved in the competition.  

The aim of the contest “Georgian Economic Olympiad 2011” was to raise the interest in studying economics among the students  and encourage the stuents with the gifts of economics and related disciplines.

Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Sports and Youth, National Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, Privat Bank, International School of Economy, Batumi Maritime Academy, were among other supporters and sponsors of the Olympiad.
