Representatives
of National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) who are visiting
Georgia met the Head of Information-Analytical Department of the Ministry of
Education and Science of Georgia Shota Utiashvili. Shota Utiashvili provided
the guests with the information about the Police Reforms that are implemented
in Georgia. As Utiashvili stated criminal situation in the country has changed
since the Government started the implementation of new Police Reforms.
The members
of NASRO’s delegation also received information about the statistics on the juvenile
crime. According
to the most recent poll, the occurrence of physical violence and bullying
between students has decreased by 95%. According to the most
recent European Union poll 75 % of parents are confident in the safety of
Georgian schools.
