The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, and Head of the Teachers Development National Centers, Mr. Gia Mamulashvili, visited an exceptional teacher of Tbilisi Public School #30, Mr. Giorgi Kalandadze, at home to wish him a happy St. George’s Day and presented him with a personal computer. The Minister congratulated all teachers on St. George’s Day; particularly the men named George, and wished them success.
Mr. Giorgi Kalandadze has been working for 30 years at his school. Schoolchildren applaud Mr. Kalandadze for consistently teaching especially interesting lessons. George Kalandadze is also the author of several books, a member of the commission of United National Exams, and constantly introduces innovative teaching methods to facilitate his students’ learning process.
Giorgi Kalandadze successfully passed the national certification exam in mathematics and plans to pass exams in skills, foreign language and computer technology in the spring.
Mr. Kalandaze’s spouse, Ms. Darejan Tsintsadze, has also worked in Tbilisi Public School #30 as a teacher of Physics for 32 years. The daughter of this exceptional teacher, Nino Kalandadze, graduated from Tbilisi Komarov School with a golden medal and now continues her studies in business at the Free University with 100% financial support from government. The family’s son, Gela Kalandadze also is successful, talented student.
