The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Irine Kurdadze, the Regional Director of SDC, Rudolf Schoch, the Head of IOM Agency, Illiana Derilovna, the Director of the State Fund for Protection and Assistance of Victims of Human Trafficking, Marina Meskhi, and the Member of Interagency Council for Prevention of Trafficking, Ketevan Khutsishvili, held a briefing for the press in order to promote the project. The purpose of the project is to increase cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Governmental bodies, and Non-governmental Organizations, and to integrate supplementary materials on the prevention of trafficking and safe migration into the Georgian National Curriculum.

The project will provide better access for adults to information on trafficking. In the scope of the project, schoolchildren will be taught how to avoid trafficking traps and how to find safe ways of migration.

This project is implemented in the scope of the Action Plan for Prevention of Trafficking that was signed by the President of Georgia in March 2011.
