As part of the events for the Week of Occupation, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended a screening of the film “Soviet Story” at the Tbilisi Public School #52.
The film “Soviet Story” was created by the initiative of members of the European Parliament. The film compares the Soviet regime and Nazi Germany by featuring symbols, ideology and the means of mass destruction employed by these regimes. Unique archive documents, exclusive images, and video footage are used in the film.
After the screening of the film a discussion was held with the participation of the students.
During the Week of Occupation, “Soviet Society” will be screened in all public schools throughout Georgia.
