The lab was built as a part of the Tempus project, (SALiS) which aims to further enhance the learning of the Natural Science subjects and diversify the methods of their instruction. The project focuses on conducting the laboratory works based on research.

The teachers of the respective subjects will be trained as a part of the mentioned project. The training module was also developed for each participating institution. Innovative methods of research were applied in the process of elaborating these learning resources.

Higher educational institutions of Moldova, Israel, Germany, Ireland, Bulgaria and Georgia are jointly engaged in the SALiS consortia. Together, the parties work on development of the curricula, training modules, etc.

The project will enhance the institutional capacities of the participating institutions and support development of the modern training modules and instruction methodology of the Natural Science subjects.

Ilia State University is the coordinator of the above mentioned project.
