Mikheil Aleksidze is currently registered at Tbilisi Public school №77, which is located in the Old Tbilisi district. The students family has been officially informed about his registration; nevertheless, Aleksidze has not showed up to school for several months. If the student does not wish to continue studies at Tbilisi Public school №77, he / his family can select another school in the city. For example, Tbilisi №122 s and №20 schools stand ready to enroll the student in their schools, since, according to the internal regulations of these institutions, students are not required to pass exams in order to transfer from school to school. The principal of Tbilisi Public School №24, Gia Murghulia, is also willing to accept this student in his school, after Aleksidze passes an interview, in accordance with the school's customary procedures.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia requests that Aleksidze and his family make a choice from among the suggested schools. This will give the student an opportunity to continue his studies. All principals who attended the briefing emphasized that they were ready to accept Mikheil Aleksidze to their schools.
Mikheil Aleksidze was expelled from public school №53 last October. The student was involved in an incident and the school principal, Tato Shavshishvili, reported the case to the police. The school principal accused the student of personal abuse. Based on the complaint, the police started to investigate the case and questionedthe student. According to Tato Shavshishvili, he does not have any personal concern toward Mikheil Aleksidze, it is noteworthy, that Mikheil’s brother studies in the same school.
