Today, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and First Deputy of the General Prosecutor Davit Sakvarelidze met with school students of Tbilisi Public School #175 and discussed with them the aim and conditions of the contest.
All students of public and private schools are able to take part in the contest by sending their self-created slogan and/or logo to the following e-mail addresses: konkursebi@mes.gov.ge or press-center@justice.gov.ge by March 25. The authors of the best works will be awarded prizes.
Trends of drug abuse among school students have decreased significantly; only a few cases have been reported within the past years. The complex measures taken by the Ministry as a part of the safe school concept have clearly resulted in a positive outcome.
Despite this progress, drug abuse remains one of the most important issues that needs to be addressed among students; becuse of this, the Ministry is committed to continue working with other respective agencies and institutions to prevent crime and drug abuse among youth.
