Today President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili has visited Tbilisi Informational Center, where future students of vocational educational institutions are being registered. The first candidate from socially vulnerable family has been registered personally by the president and was granted the voucher.
The deadline for spring registration for potential students of vocational educational institutions is April 20 and besides Tbilisi will be held in Kutaisi and Kobuleti informational centers where interested individuals can acquire any kind of necessary information.
The state has disbursed 7 000GEL for voucher based financing, which will enable 7 000 individuals to study, work, become professional and get employed.
Students for socially vulnerable families and active 9th and 12th graders will be fully financed who have decided to proceed with their education at vocational educational institutions.
Graduates of vocational educational institutions are presented with real employment opportunities. New vocational colleges with modern equipment offer qualifications that are highly requested at the labor market. Specific programs are taught by retrained teachers and field specialists.
Introduction and implementation of new financing system will increase competitiveness between vocational colleges, facilitate attraction and involvement of the private sector. Vocational colleges offering equal conditions for all students become oriented on self-development, strive to acquire industrial practices and foster employment opportunities.
