Today, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Geogia (MES) Giorgi Chakhnashvili and Rector of Georgian Technical University (GTU) Archil Prangishvili visited Telavi Public School #3 and familiarized themselves with the project.
The Telavi Physics-Mathematical school will be the first special school in the Kakheti region. In order to strengthen the teaching of Physics and Mathematics, academic personnel of GTU will teach at this Telavi special school. The school students will also be able to visit GTU laboratories.
Development of natural and exact sciences is a priority for MES. In this regard, the old status of Physics-Mathematical school was reassumed to Telavi School #3. Besides, at all public schools, teaching of exact and natural sciences is currently being enhanced.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is implementing the program “Einstein,” in which MES is providing all public schools of Georgia with modern school laboratories for exact and natural sciences. In these labs, school students will have the chance to have practical lessons as well as prepare materials for different scientific and cognitive contests.
