In regard to launching of the eCatalog, the Minister, Dimitri Shashkini and Giorgi Gulua, Head of EMIS, held a presentation.
Any interested person can obtain a detailed information on the educational institutions in Georgia; furthermore, it may be quite useful for the parents of the first graders in the process of selecting the school for their children; the new resource will also simplify the mobility process among the schools. The catalog will also collect the data of those students who have successfully passed high school and national unified entry exams.
The new initiative was carried out as a part of the Ministry’s E-strategy and is aimed at increasing the transparency of the educational institutions and enhancing an access to education.
