In 2009, the Ilia University, in cooperation with Los Angeles California State University, launched a master’s degree program in education administration. The aim of this program is to support the needs of wide scale education decentralization reforms in the country of Georgia. Education Management project (GEM) is being implementing for three years already and will be concluded in June, 2012.
During the conference, the graduates of the program presented their master theses before the audience. The audience included the faculty of the Education Administration, representatives of the Ministry, international and local organizations.
The following issued of the education administration were discussed in the event: leadership in education, strategic management, finances, managing the personnel, development of educational programs, standards and accreditation, public- private partnership, education policy, etc..
The participant schools of the research projects were awarded the certificates as a part of the conference.
