Mr. Dimitri Shashkini met science envoy of the President of the US

Minister, Dimitri Shashkini, Deputy Minister, Nodar Surguladze and General
Director of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Sulkhan Sisauri
met Dr. Rita
Colwell, Director US National Science Foundation, President Obama’s science
envoy and other members of the delegation from the US.
The two sides discussed the prospective scientific and research cooperation. Dr. Rita Colwell, positively assessed the ongoing reforms in education and the state’s support to the Georgian researchers and scientists. Several events have been already planned during the meeting.
The Minister also informed the delegation members on the activities and programs of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
