By the statement of the Minister, National Examination Center is ready to carry out the National Unified Exams smoothly.
Tests for the National Unified Exams have been printed out in England. They will be brought to Georgia soon and will be placed in special depositories.
National Unified Exams will start on June 28 and will last till July 19. Entrants will have to take exams in 4 compulsory subjects: Georgian Language and Literature, Foreign Language (English, France, Germany or Russia), General Skills and one elective subject.
This year, second enrollment procedure has been abolished and entrants have a chance to choose 20 desired faculties instead of 7, as it was last year. The final results of the Exams will be announced by the end of August. Therefore, examination process will be less stressful for entrants and their parents.
Higher Education Institutions has already defined profile subject as the subject for the 4th - elective exam. Minimal competency barrier has increased with 10% for medical and law faculties. Accordingly, entrants of these faculties will have to cross 35% barrier in 3 compulsory subjects and 30% barrier in profile subject.
This year, for the first time, entrants have passed registration online on the web-pages www.naec.ge and www.online.naec.ge. This was very comfortable procedure for the entrants as they were able to change their decision and moderate the list of faculties by the end of the registration process.
