The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the National Center of Manuscripts and Tbilisi Cultural Events Center are jointly organizing Georgian Script Festival. The First Deputy Minister, Koka Sepherteladze opened a festival today.
The aims of “Georgian Script” is to spread “Georgian Script”, as an important achievement of Georgian culture, on an international level; to popularize Kartvelological sciences, focusing on the multi-faceted, multi-national foundations of Georgian manuscript culture.
The writing competition was held on the first day of the festival and 10 students participated in it.
Different calligraphy workshops are also being held as a part of the festival.
On the second day of the festival various awarding ceremonies will be held, the identified winners will be presented with cash prizes and certificates.
The presentation of the collection “Georgian script” will be organized on the third day of the festival. The edition will feature distinguished photos of Georgian calligraphy. The festival be will be concluded by will folk evening.
