In the 2012 academic year, 83 “Future Classes” will be opened throughout Georgia. Multifunctional “future classrooms” will be opened in every public school of major cities. Today the minister of Education and Science of Georgia Khatia Dekanoidze visited a new “future classroom” in public school #24. In this multifunctional, technology-equipped classroom, all lessons are conducted with educational tools displayed on the electronic interactive board as well as personal monitors. ”Future classrooms” will make it possible to involve much more online resources throughout Georgia.
Teachers will have the opportunity to monitor student’s working progress, assist if needed, and send personalized comments.
English, Georgian, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography and Geometry classes can now be conducted in such multifunctional classrooms. Virtual labs and learning tools such as rulers and protractors can be used during theses lessons for example. The students can save their lessons electronically while a high quality visualization and audio system provides the opportunity for interactive presentations.
