Large numbers of letters are received by Minister of Education and Science from teachers, lecturers, school principals and from those representatives working in the system of education who were dismissed in different periods. Majority of the applicants claim that the main reasons for dismissal are political. They request to be reinstated in their workplaces.

As Minister of Education and Science, I consider that all parties are victims of authoritarian   system. Our policy is completely different and we desire not to have any examples of discrimination on political grounds in society and especially in education system. The system must serve the purposes of educating future generations in healthy environment. I consider that the most effective option would be to seek all opportunities in order to come to an agreement and restart the process of collaboration. In my opinion this will be the best way to solve the problem.

For those who will not be able to come to an agreement, I would suggest another option- a special commission will be created in Ministry of Education and Science based on command of the Minister. The commission will consider all disputes and make relevant decisions together with me. The purpose of the commission is to solve problems in the shortest possible time. In other cases dispute hearings will be conducted in accordance with acting legislation in Georgia.

I hope that my advice will be taken into consideration and you will soon return back to your workplace. Professional teachers are very important part of our society. You are those who shall give their knowledge to our future generation.
