A conference “Involvement of Private Sector in Georgian Vocational Education System” was held today in vocational college “Spektri”. The conference was organized within the framework of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ PSDP Georgia). Along with private sector representatives, Ms. Ketevan Natriashvili Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Mr. Davit Narmania Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia participated in the conference.
The aim of the conference was to introduce the possibilities of private sector involvement in vocational education and to share the experience of vocational college “Spektri”.
Currently, 32 vocational-educational programs are implemented in “Spektri”. Among them: wide profile builder, locksmith, tailor, electrician, refrigerator and auto engineer, modeler, food ecology control specialist, environmental technician, wooden art specialist, accountant, office manager, gardeners, topographist, computer network and systems specialist, polygraphistetc.
