Minister’s Meeting with the Representatives of Free Professional Union of Teachers and Scientists
The social dialogue between the government and Free
Professional Union of Teachers and Scientists has commenced by the order of the
Prime Minister №35, 2009 and is still underway. In the framework of this initiative,
the Minister met the chairman of Free Professional Union of Teachers and
Scientists, Ms. Manana Gurchumelidze.
The parties discussed the terms and procedures of teachers voluntary certification exams as well as the Public Board. The Board was established by the order of Minister Shashkini after consulting with the representatives of parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition, Free Professional Union of Teachers and Scientists, the Union of Professional Education and Training Qualified Workforce, Independent Professional Union of Students, Education Employers Union, Education Professional Syndicate and the League of Education Leaders.
The Board members will hold meetings on a monthly basis. Any organization or union interested in the ongoing education reforms will have an opportunity to participate in this meeting.
The Ministry is ready to listen and consider the opinions of every interested party.
