At this stage, training course of 90 trainers is under way. They will train teachers from 121 pilot schools. The first phase of the training course was held in January 25-27, the second phase is planned in February 1-3. Today, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aluda Goglichidze attended the process.
Piloting stage of the project will start in February 2013 and last till June, 2014. The aim of the Project is to improve pupils’ results and teaching process of reading skills and math at primary level. In order to reach the goal, apart from the training course, lifelong profesional development program will be implemented and parent engagement strategy will be elaborated. As a result, schools will have reading materials, manipulatives, evaluation instruments etc. together with technical equipment.
