Seminars will be held for sports teachers of public schools in several cities of Georgia. Knowledge gained at the seminars will help the teachers to teach volleyball using easier rules. The seminars will be conducted by Prof. František Táborský, international expert in volleyball from University of Prague. Today, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia together with other representatives from the Ministry held a meeting with the Czech expert. Possibilities of future scientific cooperation were discussed at the meeting.   

The seminars will be held within the framework of International Volleyball Federation development program - “School Volleyball”. The aim of the project is to assist public school teachers to conduct their lessons properly and encourage creation of school teams with the motivation of taking part in different competitions and thus, encourage healthy lifestyle among the youth.

The seminars will be conducted in Kutaisi (April 3-5), Kvareli (April 7-9) and Tbilisi (April 10-12), they offer theoretical as well as practical course and finish with a test for the participants. Certificates will be awarded according to the test results.

Volleyball, as an Olympic team game is recognized throughout the world as one of the most popular sports. Tradition of playing volleyball in Georgia has started since the 60-ies of the 20^th century. Georgian National Volleyball Federation is actively involved in development programs. The aim of the programs is to popularize volleyball. In many public schools of Georgia volleyball is a major part of sports lessons.
